The diagnosis was made at the age of 4. At that time she could not speak a word and hid in the bed and behind the shower curtain. She also had many fears of animals and other things.<\/p>\n We did six years of inten\u00adsive ABA<\/span>\/VB<\/span>. For this purpose we conducted several days of super\u00advi\u00adsion and work\u00adshops with Silke Johnson.<\/p>\n Our daughter made a lot of progress thanks to ABA<\/span>. Today she is much more acces\u00adsible, is less anxious, and can speak a few words. Now, she can say when she is hungry or thirsty, when she doesn\u2019t want some\u00adthing or when some\u00adthing hurts her.<\/p>\n We would like to thank Silke Johnson for her efforts and for sharing her know\u00adledge. The grea\u00adtest success is certainly that this child has deve\u00adloped so posi\u00adtively in such a multi-layered way that it can now attend regular school. We did not want to accept this lost time for our son and ther\u00ade\u00adfore looked around for alter\u00adna\u00adtives. We then cont\u00adacted the Melody Lear\u00adning Center. The ABA<\/span>\/VB<\/span> approach was exactly what we had rese\u00adar\u00adched in advance. At that time, our son was rela\u00adtively immersed in his autistic world and spoke very little to hardly any of our \u201cnormal\u201d language. Corre\u00adspon\u00adding video recor\u00addings docu\u00adment this starting point. Through several on-site visits, tele\u00adphone calls and video analyses, indi\u00advi\u00addual programs were deve\u00adloped that were adapted to the current state of deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment. From the very first day we felt well cared for and above all well looked after: our son\u2019s willing\u00adness and ability to commu\u00adni\u00adcate has deve\u00adloped mira\u00adcu\u00adlously posi\u00adtively and above all he was looking forward to every encounter with Silke.<\/p>\n Super\u00advi\u00adsion of the Melody Lear\u00adning Center was also very important to us \u2014 it enabled us to receive posi\u00adtive feed\u00adback on the measures applied from an expe\u00adri\u00adenced and compe\u00adtent source. In the end, we are not profes\u00adsio\u00adnals and always have to rely a little on our gut feeling! But for us as parents, in addi\u00adtion to the good feeling, the sustainable posi\u00adtive deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of our son is also decisive, e.g. through the lear\u00adning programs for social compe\u00adtence and the use of the token system in the class\u00adroom, we were able to see direct success. For us, the great care and support of Silke in the coope\u00adra\u00adtion with teachers and other thera\u00adpists is also a great advan\u00adtage \u2014 not to forget the lear\u00adning of our co-thera\u00adpists. All people involved have always given us a posi\u00adtive feed\u00adback regar\u00adding the coope\u00adra\u00adtion with Silke \u2014 the results are also clearly reco\u00adgnizable for us.
